Couple days with no light

    I live in area with common power outages. I was wondering...theoretically...if the power went out for a couple days how much damage would that do to the plants if they got no light? Also, if a knew a big storm was coming (which would most likely take out the power) is there anything I could do ahead of time to help 'protect' the plants? Any comments/advice would be very appreciated.

    I had to bring my plants inside for 3 days because I was having work done on the sewage system. They didn't like it and got all droopy, but once back under the sun, they perked right up and continued growing as if nothing happened.
