didn't plan it this way but I'm going to be away for about three weeks ... found a really cool and cheap automatic watering system and got my lights on a timer so figure my plant will be okay .. the only thing I don't know is how high above my baby to set the lights .. am worried about her growing into them ... she's almost 5 weeks old and about 14 1/2" tall ... am leaving in two weeks to I don't have time to flower her ... reckon she'll be a big mutha but that's okay as I'm just growing one plant ... ... have her in a pot about 9" across and about 7 1/2" deep in a soil mix of: 5 parts potting soil, 5 parts perlite, 1 part bat shit, 1 part worm shit ... seems like a pretty potent mix .. was wondering if I'll need to do any extra fertilizing .. thanks!!!
I had a similar setup, and had to leave it for 2 weeks. I left the light just over 30cm above the plants. Problem is, it'll stretch for the light, but it will if you switch to 12/12. I guess if I leaft mine about 30cm above the plant, yours should be OK at a little more than that... can you move the lights so they are to the sides of the plants? that way they would never actually grow into them. I had to move my lights to the side towards the end because I ran out of space.... that might be a better and safer idea... easy... jrrtokin
thanks for the info .. good idea on keepin' the lights to the sides .. with my set-up I'll be able to do so .. tried attaching a picture but I keep getting a message it's too big .. it's not ..it's like 775 X 650 and only 88kb
