    Typical.

PC gaming just isn't for some people. Like me. The pretentious backlash from the PC community about this game being released on 360 has been ridiculous. I'm not saying you're one of those people... but c'mon, the game plays fine on a console.

I played the demo trial. It seems alright. It has some elements I really like and some I absolutely hate.. I'm still not sure if I want to buy it.

If I buy it I will want to take it seriously and be mildly competitive. So it's hard to decide if it's something I want to dedicate myself to right now.

  5. This is true..... but why cant you just let console gamers have a game for themselves? Obviously it controls worse than pc, what do you expect. It doesnt detract from the fact that its still a fair playing field making it irrelevant that the pc version plays better unless you have both versions.

  6. Not to mention you can't lay down and get comfortable when playing on a pc... while holding a controller doesn't require much :)

  7. you can use a controller on pc but you cant use a m&k on xbox without buying a $150 device.

btw if anyone wants to purchase said device id be willing to part with it for $100. i bought it for halo 4 but now that i know halo 4 will be garbo i have no need for it and would much prefer a 1/4.

xim3 used it for maybe a total of 10 hours and it still works great. you do need a wired controller though.

I went ahead and bought this today. I was bored and just wanted something new. I'm not really sure how I feel about it after spending a few hours on it.

I wish it had more modes.. especially more where you can respawn.. I just prefer that style more.

The lag is unreal though. Like holy fuck, over half of the games I get into are unplayable, even though my connection is good. And I was expecting a lot more people to be using mics to communicate and all but only a few people talk and even fewer are saying anything worth hearing.

If it weren't for the terrible lag the game would be a lot better. It's still alright though. But it's not something I can see getting into for the long run or it building huge and long lasting competitive value (on the 360 anyway). And there's no way I'd call this the best XBLA game. Not even in the top 5 even. It does have a lot of content and the challenges can make for good replayability but even when you judge it on the amount of content, plenty of other XBLA games offer much more

^^^ Forget respawns man, this is counter strike you gotta play it old school. :p

I play on PS3 and it doesn't lag at all, tons of people playing too. Also while likely not the best game on XBLA or PSN like Mogwai said its probably the best shooter you're gonna get for $15 in terms of download only titles.

No but you can use a mouse and keyboard on PS3, Valve gave playstation users built in support.

I can handle the lack of respawning, but only when I have people who I can work and communicate with. But when everybody is silently just doing their own thing then it gets boring. I'm not the best either so I tend to die every round, and sitting there in silence watching people run around aimlessly is just boring. Like it wouldn't be bad if I had people to talk with and I could watch their strategy play out for them, but that hardly happens.

So it's like I can only play the no respawn games when I have people to talk with who work together. And when I don't I have to play a mode with respawns. And right now there's only one =\. It really wouldn't hurt to have one more mode with more lives (unlimited or limited, either would be fine)

Another issue I have is with the lobby system. Having a more organized lobby system would help the game A LOT. Plus the game feels a little unresponsive and less accurate than it should be. And don't try to say "bcuz it's on a console", it's just a lack of polishing on controls I feel like. It's not HORRIBLE, just not as good as it could have been I feel like. I'm sure I'll get used to it though. I do enjoy the lack of aim assist though (I haven't played enough yet to tell if it's entirely not there, or if it's there but is super toned down)

My gamertag is Soundteqs if anyone wants to play. I think my friends list is full right now, so just shoot me a message sometime and I'll delete somebody to make room

The issues that really stand out to me with most games of this genre on consoles is the lack of communication and a general lack of common sense in game from a larger amount of players which I believe is due to a higher percentage of casual players. Most matches will usually only have a few people with mics on each team and I've noticed its much harder to find an evenly matched game.

I should also add that Im pretty much a console player exclusively, and have been for quite some time now so Its not like Im over here trying to bash consoles either.

  12. Yeah it really is a console problem when it comes to FPS. I really don't know why I was expecting it not to be an issue this time around when it has been for almost every other game. The only time I can remember a console FPS with a strong community that required you have a mic and communicate was Left 4 Dead. If you didn't have a mic or if you had one but wouldn't talk, you'd get kicked out of most lobbies. That was the game that forced me to go buy a mic (though it was also one of the first games I bought, so...) and I haven't found another experience like that =(

I guess Valve games usually have a more talkative community, so that's why I was expecting this to be more communication oriented... But it's pretty bad. I've only had the game for a handful of hours though so maybe I've just been unlucky so far.

Still though.. I was initially hoping for people to be like "if you're not going to talk we're going to kick you", but I haven't seen anything like that yet

  13. Or cornered by all 3 of your team and slaughtered like a pig, then left as bait for the zombies to finish off as they run like all hell.

  14. remember how i said it plays like poo on console? thats what i was referring to. and i fully agree with you one the whole no respawn without people to play with. i can only play CS:GO with friends which sucks because they haven't been on recently...

oh and awesome bonus for the pc, they update it constantly so what im playing is already very different from what you're playing and they are going to make the matchmaking better on the pc.

  15. thats not just a console problem anymore sadly. i built my pc to get away from that shit but turns out BF3 made a lot of terrible players build gaming pc's because of they promises of amazing graphics. seriously i still have moments where im like "how do these people feed themselves?" i was really hoping to leave that behind when i made the switch to pc.

this is because of the party system. before they released that people talked in game a lot more. and im guilty of never going into game chat when i played xbox. mostly because everyone on xbox live is a racist, misogynistic, douche bag. so far ive only encountered one person in voice chat on pc who fit that mold. and my favorite thing about pc is that i can be in a skype call with people but still use in game voice chat.

  17. The thing about CSGO is you dont have to communicate. Stick with your team, you dont have to speak to do that.

I play CSGO on PC and i have voice chat muted

  18. For pub games maybe

Yea but if he is playing scrim matches or tournaments they will be in a separate VOIP program and much more communication obviously.

  20. ye but you were saying just communication in general wasnt necessary so you didnt really specify
