Could the republican party use Marijuana reform to win in 2014 and 2016?

  1. In 2012 the Republican party got destroyed in the youth and minorities vote. As part of reviewing policies to gain voters from these demographics this could be a major point. It would be easy why a high school or college kid would vote just because of this issue. Many minority groups are affected heavily by drug based violence and this can be championed to reduce that sad part of life today. The traditional republicans might not like the idea but if someone gets Fox News on board then there will be no issue with them going dem on election day.

  2. The youth and minority vote should just do more research on the issues. Less prima facie, emotional voting. Fewer of them would vote democrat like clockwork every four years.

Just my opinion. Im speaking in general terms.

  3. I wouldn't trust them to follow through. Well that and they have too many other negative social stances. :smoke:

  4. Young people shouldn't get info from Colbert and Stewart either.

Anyway, point being, if they genuinely don't believe in marijuana reform, they shouldn't just pretend like they do.

  5. But thats all American politics is. Pretending to be what you're not and then turning your back on those who stood with you.

  6. There are many things they could do. Marijuana reform, lower taxes, end foreign imperialism, champion civil liberties, end the Fed, etc. Basically the Republican party needs a serious move in the libertarian direction or it has no future.

Hopefully they will start to realize this soon.

  8. The GOP is a fucking dinosaur and it's on it's way out, imho.

  9. We can only hope the Democrats follow them straight to hell. We have been getting screwed by both of them for the last hundred years. Both parties have run us into the ground yet insist that they need just one more chance. They both need to go in the worst kind of way. I hope there is a nice spot next to the furnace in hell for them and thier masters.

  10. Election laws are written by the two major parties. In name both of them are going to stick around for the foreseeable future.
