Example: Love - I am actually over at my "girlfriends" house in her living room while she's sleeping. I don't believe I feel love, or most emotions, in the correct way. I hardly feel REAL love at all. I definitely feel that its there, but never feel like I "love" the girls I'm in a relationship with, even the very few serious ones like now.

It sucks. But at the same time, that's how Ive always been. I know a few people on this forum with the same philosophy, like Meursault.

This is EXACTLY how I view life:

    - None of us fucking matter to anything, the universe, to the world, nothing.
    - Our emotions and what goes on in our head do not matter to anything and can be easily controlled.
    - You are responsible for both the good and bad shit that happens to you.
    - Fuck this God shit, you're the only one who can take responsibility for a good thing you have done in your life.
    - Here's a link that describes it in detail: Existentialism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I feel all the feelings of love, but don't have that connection that I know should be there.

Does love even exist or has the society formed a false emotion?

  2. I think love is a subjective term

each person's idea of love is probably different in some way and based off valuing certain things that matter or effect that person.

maybe you just love in a different way than you expected?

  3. Love exists. Do you have a child? If you did, then this wouldn't be a question.

You mentioned in your other thread that you take a lot of benzos and opiates.
Those drugs are going to have a huge effect on your emotions and the way you connect with other people.

No judgment, just something to think about :)

  4. I believe love exists, but I think it is an action. A gradually occurring action. Infatuation and attraction are the initial predecessors. Then you feel begin to feel true affection and dedication to that person.

And I think Penelope is right, in most cases parents undeniably feel love for their offspring.

In contrast, I believe that everyone matters in the universe, just as every cell of your body is vital and can be fatal when corrupted (mutated) but can also be beneficial.

“What is in one is within the whole; therefore each individual is responsible for the entire universe.”

I do believe people are ultimately responsible for their thoughts and actions. I somewhat believe in a pseudo-karma theory.

I also believe “God” and “mother-nature” on a huge universal-scale not limited to the planet Earth, are pretty much the same thing. All the organized religions were created by man, though. Even if supposedly spoken to by some “high being” (claimed by prophets are numerous religions) everyone has paradigms that effect their interpretation of everything around them.

Feel free to avidly disagree with me. I love debate, even being proven wrong. :)

  5. I'm guessing love is an emotion evolution created to make sure mothers and fathers don't fuck, have a child and then GTFO leaving the child behind.
