Could I Get Burnt In My Mouth From the Bowl?

    There's this bowl I have and I've definitely noticed part of the cherry sometimes getting from the part of the bowl used to smoke to the bottom part(the part that goes to my mouth). Sometimes it seems like the weed itself will burn into the beneath the bowl(into the part that goes to my mouth). It felt like it got awfully close to the lips one time. Is there any risk of sucking the cherry into my mouth by accident?
