If you want something pretty fantasy heavy, read the series The Malazan Book of the Fallen. Its this huge series involving magic, gods, wars, other worlds, all that stuff. The great thing about it though is the writing, it is directed to avery adult audience, it can be pretty gruesome at times. Plus there are so many intracacies to the plot, its unbelieveable.
