Cotton Candy, trichs look ready? (macros)

  1. Kinda looks to me like everything is cloudy, with some amber, but it's kinda early in the year for an 80% sativa to be done isn't it?

  2. beautiful pictures. best i have seen so far. i would say one more day, maybe two.

  3. I started flushing a couple days ago, they're in soil

  4. :yummy: Delicious

So many cloudy trichs! Maybe wait a week until a few amber trichs show?

    Looks fantastic man.

  5. would wait another week or so, check daily for the trichs and pull whenever you see the trichs at your liking i see now it would be more a sativa, when more amber colored come in and most like that but dont wait to long, but once most amber get that narcotic couchlock type, or if in between get that sativa/indica, thats what im hoping for with mine as well, they look bomb bro good job!

  6. So the trichs are ready then. Don't want amber trichs, I want the sativa high. As soon as I've flushed it enough ill start cuttin some down

  7. looks beautiful..great job!!

If it were me I would just give it a weee bit longer..there isnt much amber there at all yet so no worries(i know u dont want the amber trics)..flush for a couple more days and ill say u ar ready to cut and enjoy that lovely sativa.

Is it just one plant? maybe chop one a lil earlier then the others? so u can experience a diff high from the same strain

  8. Doesn't the appearance of so many white pistols mean it needs more time? Wait for those pistols to recede more into the bud, I'd say wait another few days.

    Check Zeus's Harvest guide
    Zeus's Take on Harvesting.

No....pistils are pretty much irrelevant. You don't smoke pistils; you smoke the THC that's made in the trichomes. THC is at its peak when the trichs are cloudy, as it degrades into CBN they go amber. The more amber you have, the more THC has broken down, and the more 'narcotic' the high. If I were to harvest my GDP when the pistils all look ready, the buds would have been cut way premature. If I wait til all the pistils on the CC are dark, the buds will be cut way late. If you have absolutely no access to a magnifying glass or macro lens and camera you could go off of the hairs, but it's hit and miss depending on what kind of high you want and what plants you're growing.

I've read plenty of harvest guides and know when to harvest for what kind of high (done it 4 times now), I was just thrown off b/c it surprised me that a plant that's supposedly 80% sativa would be done flowering after having been outside for only 8 weeks, as if it were some pure indica strain. I was making sure what I thought were cloudy were in fact cloudy and not clear, and wondering how the buds look as a whole. I haven't fed them anything at all, just put them in FFOF soil, but the big one was only put out there around the end of July and it was pretty small then. I actually wanted to try to use some Gravity and/or Snow Storm, since I have some small ones I could experiment with.

They're still gonna go at least another week b/c I just started flushing. I just didn't want to start flushing too early like I did w the GDP (cuz I went by the hairs)

  10. wow that is so bombalious looking bud bro! Just like you, I want to grow my Aussie Blue to that stage, and get as little amber tri's as possible, and have them mostly cloudy for that lovely sativa head high. I'm also gonna grow some Medijuana and leave that go mostly amber for some dirty couch lock! Awesome pics and good post! Helps a newb grower like me know exactly what to look for!

  11. Looks nice and heddy man. I would say hold off for a little while as well even if you want them cloudy. she will look even better in the next week i think.

  12. from what i see, another 2 weeks

  13. This pic was taken 7-30. I don't have any pics of it earlier and I didn't note when I actually rooted and transplanted this one :/

8-29. Obviously flowering, don't know when it started though. I need to keep track of this shit lol

    Compared to my indoor CC...

seems like they shouldn't be done so early

Should I have time to try some Gravity? cuz it still seems like they should be a bit fatter...do trichs amber earlier outdoors b/c of the UV light?

  14. Well I bought a bottle of Gravity and a bottle of Snow Storm Ultra. Luckily, I have 4 plants cloned from the same plant, 3 of them grown in the same sized containers so I get to do a little trial on the additives. On the big plant I used both Gravity and SS; of the three small ones, one is Gravity only, another SS only, and the third is a control with nothing added. Hopefully there's enough time for them to have some noticeable effect, and hopefully I can demonstrate how well the additives work. I'm excited :D pics up in a bit

  15. Who wants more bud porn :hello:

Here's the big one I'm calling Bush. It's the one that got both Gravity and Snow Storm. If they work, the plant should get noticeably fatter and frostier in the next few days. It says to use up to harvest, hopefully it works :D
