Hello everyone this is my first post on this forum and of course its because i need help of my fellow growmaniacs. I am in the eight week of flower on some beautiful super silver ladies. I am in 3 gallon pots using fox farm ocean forest. Everything was going fine until the sixth week when i noticed a little bit of buring along with the normal yellowing from the last of the nitrogen being used. I figured since i was starting flush the next watering everything would be fine. NO! i was wrong i have watered twice now using just phd ro water and final phase it seems to have slowed it but not stopped it, My question is should i flush one more time and wait risking missing the window of production before degradation? Or should i just pull them and hope my weed does not taste like a bowl of hay. When i tested the water coming from the bottom it was between 1280-1430 ppm. Could this be cause by all the nutes draining out or.........? ANY AND ALL FEEDBACK IS APPRECIATED
Honestly I am not exactly sure about that happening thats why i was asking. I do know that when mixing nutes even if you dont use hydro, you should always start with clean water so you know exactly what you are giving your ladies. I never mess with the tap
I take ro water add final phase and water with 1 and half time the normal water the ppm of the water is usually 220 and the ph is around 6.5 my meter has been on the fritz lately after this grow i hope to get a hannah with a hand held probe
they are in 3 gallon pots. giving them less than the dirt mass doesn't really flush them, just makes the dirt wet. you should give them, if they are in 3 gallon containers, at least 3 gallons of water. 1 to 1 being the minimum. that is why your still getting high ppm's. your medium is still not flushed. you need to wash all the nutes out, or your buds are gonna taste like an exhaust pipe.
thanks this information is unsettling as i buy my water and keep it in a thirty gallon res but by those standards i need 63 gallons of water shitty oh well this is one of the reasons i love this ever challenging. thanks alot for the input i appreciate it
I tried what you said it brought the ppm down to around 800 is that ok or does it actually have to drain out zero?
what is acceptable now its getting into the lower three hundreds i have made three trips and bought 2 more five gallon bottles.
