Is a Cooltube just as effective as a more expensive sealed reflector? Do you get a better light footprint using a hood, or is cool tube w/ wings just as good?
I'm no physicist, but to me it seems like a cooltube would be a bit more efficient for cooling than a sealed hood. Just because there's less places for the air to go - it has to shoot straight through. Same thought applies to using straight ducting instead of the 'accordian' style (I don't know the terms for these things). For the light footprint, I don't know.
