cool things to do in san fransico??

    My family is going to san fran for spring break. I know there are at least a few ppl here that live there and i was just wonderin if there is any cool things to do. also were are some cool headshops? Theres gotta be millions of um. were going to Reno too, so if anybody lives there...

    Ya dude, go to haight and ashbury. It's wear the HIPPIE REVOLUTION BEGAN!! You'll find all the smoke shops you could ever want there. Check out the exploratorium of SFMOMA too. They have some tight exhibits at both of those places, and your parents will think you're smart for asking to go there. It's a win win! Also if you can get tickets id go see The Producers at the Orpheum theatre. Just saw it last night and it kicked the ass. I tell you, Mel Brooks has still got it!!! Well that should keep you busy for a few hours, if you need anything else to do to pass the time you could always smoke weeed, eh? ENJOY!!!

    I stayed in a hotel on the street where the trolley goes on. Too many people riding to be fun. Union Square if you are into shopping till you drop.

    Go to the Haight Asbury to check out the shops there. Pick up some tie dye, not sure if the head shops are still open. Get some ice cream at the Ben and Jerry's. Stay out of Golden Gate Park when it starts to get dark, lots of homeless there. http://www.sftravel.com/haightashburysanfrancisco.html

    China town has neat shops also, eat seafood on the wharf.

    You have got to check out the market street theatre and the one I forget the name of across the street. If you are into strip clubs, it is an interesting decadent place.

    Use public transprtation, parking is horrible, traffic is worse. It is also a good way to people watch.

    Not too much in Reno besides the casinos and legal brothels towards Carson city. I did not like the vibe of the town.

    wow, so my parents wanna use a rent a car and they also think Reno is gonna be great freindly town. they are so clueless, i dont know why they wont let me plan the vacation!

    Yeah, what IS so bad about Reno? I liked it, for the most part, while I was there for two or three days on our way further out.

    Haight by Ashbury. Headshopville. We got some CHRONIC weed right now :D

    I live in the uk and have never been, but i've always wanted to see alcatraz, could be an adventure.

    alcatraz is pretty cool, but it's not THAT cool. in my opinion.
