Cooking In Tinfoil

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by nugget13, Jan 4, 2007.

  1. I was talking to a guy in a chatroom and we started talking about cooking weed. He said he came up with a great way to cook weed without using butter or oil or anything like that. This is what he said:

Take about a bowls worth (a gram would probably work well) and chop it up into a fine, almost powder substance. Then put it all onto some tinfoild and seal it up as tightly as possible to get all of the air out. Put it into an oven at 250f for about 20-30 minutes.

I have always heard that you need to cook with butter or oil because when the weed is heated, it releases the THC and is then stored in the fat of the butter or oil. I told him this and he said that the point of the tinfoil "pouch" is to keep the THC vapor contained so when it cools down, it recondenses onto the plant matter.

Once you take it out, he said you can eat it as is and it actually tastes alright, otherwise mix it with something.

This seems to make sense to me, but I'm not sure if this is actually true or not. Anyone?

Also, so THC needs to be heated up to be absorbed into the stomach. Does that mean you can let it cool down or even freeze it after it is cooked?

  2. So no one knows if this is legit or not?

  3. what you need : a bowl or more
    crackers
    tinfoil
    peanutbutter

ive never made these before , but ive read about them on this site. you just put the weed between two crackers with peanutbutter, wrap it in tin foil, and bake them in the oven for about 25 minutes. They call em firecrackers

  4. doesn't sound worth fuckin around with. firecrackers are easy and simple to make and have a higher realization of THC than this method.

  5. first, the reason you smoke or cook weed is that heat is needed to convert the TCH into it's psychoactive form. trust me... before i did that, i chomped a raw gram of sticky bud and NOTHING happened.

second, cooking with ANYTHING made out of aluminum is a big no-no as it's been linked to alzheimers (great when you're already working on long term loss of short term something or other). cooking with teflon is bad too as it releases some nasty chemicals when over heated.

play it safe, cook in glass, ceramics or stainless steel only.

  6. i don't know about you guys, but you couldn't pay me to eat something that came off of that platter^^^, NASTY!
