Convincing my parents that marijuana isnt bad.

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Riepfis, Nov 11, 2014.

  1. I've just started smoking weed about a few months ago. I've smoked around 20 times and I've recently started to more. The problem is, my parents are against the use of marijuana and don't know much about it. My mom's family has a bad history with more serious drugs, and my dad just thinks it kills brain cells and is a gateway drug. I also think my brother is against it too. (i also think my parents are suspicious of me for many reasons).

Recently, i found out my brother has extreme anxiety issues and depression. I was thinking of telling my parents that marijuana can help him, but I'm afraid they will think I do it and have me drug tested and stuff. MY dad has carpal tunnel syndrome and I think marijuana can help him too. I also heard that oils in marijuana can help treat eczema and stuff (my mom has eczema). I don't have any issues that can marijuana can help with really except for sleep.

So do you think I should tell my parents about this and how i think it can help,or should I not bring up marijuana at all.

P.S should i mention that it hasn't had any negative affects on me academically(this is the first year I've managed to have an all A trimester).

Don't tell them upfront, they will find your weed and depose of it. Just bring it up every now and then and tell them its really beneficial, dont bug them tho, and try to smoke weed intentionally so they will just eventually find out you smoke.

EDIT: and yes mention that it doesn't effect your grades

  3. Dont do it. Parents and marijuana are almost never a good combination

  4. Are you in a legal state? If so, mention a friends cousin who got a card and finds it helps with his/her (anxiety/carpal tunnel/eczema). Don't recommend it. Just use it as a little anecdote when your folks ask if anythings new

Say most black market weed is low in CBD because of the eagerness of sellers is to harvest early for quick cash. This results in your bad news of cannabis about it's paranoia and anxiety.

Mention how CBD balances the other chemicals and mention the fact that because these dealers strains are low in CBD, it results in bad natural anti-anxiety that cannabis can potentially have.

Say your going to be smoking medicinal weed that is high in CBD and is grown properly without overuse of pesticide and fertilisers.

Mention how some medicinal strains can be used for anxiety, depression, stress etc.

And be honest that some strong strains can really blow your mind and lead you exhausted and paranoid.

This is the nature of the drug. There are variations. But assure them your smoking the good stuff, like the stuff in California medical dispensaries.

A bit like how particular SSRI's work better for others.
