Hey guys. Got a question I'm going to convert a regular 3ft tv stand/cabinet for grow. As far as lighting, going with cfls but how do I mount them? I liked the idea of what pc grows use. Power strip with Y adapter, plug cfls in. Can move the strip since its mounted on the wall with magnets.. But in a little bigger area as the cabinet would this be effective? I need some ideas please Cooling: ill just use pc fans. 1 intake 1 exhaust or 2 exhaust? The grow will be using soil. Either FF or Coco. Inside ill have a small desk fan blowing on the plant to help it grow well and keep it from getting so hot. Mylar the insides, weather strip it sealed. Sound good so far? That will work fine. Not sure about attaching power strips with magnets, though, better to mount them to something solid like a wood or pvc frame and then raise/lower that frame.
The idea behind the magnet and strip is easily allows you to slide the strip up or down depending on height. Maybe use two eye hooks and small light weight chain for lighting?
