If you hit the key combo on a mac, it makes the screen colors go to negatives. It always seems like the best thing to do when faded as hell. My desktop always looks better in the negative colors. I even pick backgrounds that look good in negatives. gRaSscity ends up a mix of blue and baby blue with a purpleish tint. No point really to this thread i guess, just informing those who have not tried this before on their Mac.
Actually the same combination of keys on a windows operating computer is the self destruct mechanism.

If you're on Vista, press the windows key, type in as much of the word "Magnify" that you need until it pops up, and run it. Check off "invert colors," and go back to 1x magnification. You can't play with stuff on the screen, but it's close.
