conspiracy or just weird bug?

  1. this is a longshot because im high, but here's my conspiracy theory i just came up with:

i tried downloading this firefox extension called "bugmenot" for my mac. when i first tried to use it, different people email addresses that i had never seen before started entering themselves on my screen. i saw two different ones before i closed it and uninstalled the extension.

no one else uses my computer - im the only one with access to it and ive never seen or entered those email addresses.

so, is this "bugmenot" extension secretly tracking entered email addresses? maybe even passwords? tracking website and user activity?

and if so, why? who is it? marketing agencies? the CIA? something bigger?

if nothing else, itll get your brain working overdrive if you get to thinking about it :D

  2. Well I'm unsure, especially since i know nothing of firefox or Mac OS

Just NSA and CIA domesticly spying on internet use is NOTHING new. They're been doing it for nearly a decade.

If you find me on that list, then you know you've hit pay-dirt.

  3. Dude, bug me not just fills in forms for you, the kind of forms you don't normally want to fill out. Like, when you want to look an a ny times article, but you need a login, you can just use bugmenot to fetch a login that already exists for you.

    So no, not a conspiracy:p

    edited for conspiracy:
Yeah, the FBI, CIA and NSA all independently monitor all email communication, watch your mouth!

  4. well yeah, i understand the purpose of the plugin. the thing is, why would it be giving me other peoples email addresses? it seems like the plugin messed up and spit out some stuff that people werent supposed to see. it shouldnt be tracking entered information and spitting it out at other places via some kind of database.

  5. that's exactly what it does, if it's putting stuff in the wrong place then it's probably a bug

  6. Silly gov't angencies... always trying to violate our "rights".
