I had one of those dreams where you fall off a building and before you land you wake up (but still dreaming) the messed up part is when I woke up (for real this time, [I hope]) My back molar was chipped, almost like the scene in the matrix where neo is like "if you die in the matrix do you die in the real world?" but anyways it got me thinking Lets assume if everything is possible and multiple realities exist simultaneously... What if, when you die, you simply jump to a reality where you still exist. Like choice A kills you, choice B lets you live. You take choice A, die and become conscious in Reality B. You have no memory of Reality A so from your perspective you never died What if consciousness is like this? Do you get where i'm going with this blades? Its really fucking with my head right now...
i too have thought of such a notion. don't know if it is just the optimist in me, but this is my favorite theories on death. since we know energy is never created or destroyed only transformed, transmitted or transferred, this is very possible. it's a beautiful thought that everyone got to live their live to the fullest, passing from one dimension to the next. i sure as hell hope so.
Yes...I have similar thinking to this. Think of the Flatland example of explaining the 3rd dimension. People in 2d will see an impenetrable wall (a line, or one side of a square, .etc). A person in 3d can just step over the wall but to the 2d people they will see him just dissapear. So I figure, if the 4th dimension is time, the jump to 5th dimension could work in similar fashion. Time is basically what defines what happens, because if you could navigate time you could go back to a point before X happens and prevent it, or change it in an infinite amount of different ways. If say, our meta-conscious or what exists above the fragment we have that experiences, as you say Reality A, is 5th dimensional, and can navigate time spatially like 3rd dimensional beings can hop over flat walls.....well then We could easily experience an infinite number of realities by experiencing every possible outcome of every situation at every moment of time because of the spatial quality of the 4th dimension
that was beautifully said this strikes me really deep because i'm someone who came very close to killing himself many times and almost got in deadly accidents a few times, makes me think... Have I already died?
