I have 5 huge beautiful girls outdoors. Right now they're almost 7 ft tall. I was reading how in Connecticut they're using helicopters to find illegal grows even up to just a couple of plants. I'm just wondering how bad the penalty would be, not what the book says but what the real world type of penalty would be for five mature plants outdoors. I don't mind a slap on the wrist but I sure don't want to see myself get a felony. The way I read the laws that selling is the felony and it's misdemeanor for cultivation outdoors.
any misdemeanor is up to a year in jail. first time may be probation. i would be more worried if they can seize property. i would see how many plants to make a felony, your over 2 with someone that has a medical card.
someone with a card can have 3 mature inside. you have 5 outside. that's my point. legally i can have up to an ounce of weed,i don't have a card,2 ounces could be a felony.
I fully understand what you're saying, but my question is definitely not a simple one. The question is in the real world what would my penalty be taken into consideration first offense and both of us being over 60 years old. This is for personal use. Do you think it would be a slap on the wrist?
You need to find out how many plants are considered a felony in your state. Here it is 10. Then you can make a better determination of what might happen to you.
You could possibly look up how many "small" growing cases were actually prosecuted in you're area. It's not legal here either & I'm hoping they have bigger fish to fry & a weed prosecution may not be too popular for many.
