It seems that not too long ago congresswoman Gabriel Giffords was shot at a grocery store not far where Im at. Here some more info. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/09/us/politics/09giffords.html?src=mv
Just FYI Mexico has a total ban on guns and 28,000 people have been killed there in the cartel wars what happened to the original thread? It wasnt that bad..
No matter how many times you argue guns. Some dude is just gonna come in at the end of the thread and say the same bs about how guns kill people and we shouldnt have them. Pointless.
Yea im not guna start an argument. Now that the US have guns you cant just get rid of them so its kind of pointless even arguing. I respectfully disagree with those who support the amendment however. It just angers me when mad shit like this and the DC sniper thing happens. Thoughts are with the families and loved ones of those who were victims.
Any update on the psycho's motives? The last posts in the thread I made were touching on how speculation is he as an extremist (duh) of the liberal persuasion, but now that thread was moved, so I can't see it. Daniel Hernandez...dude acted quickly and selflessly, damn impressive.
Well, I won't lean towards any side of the gun debate, because people associate the availability of legal guns far too closely with the amount of gun violence... it's more complex than that. Check out Vermont for example. You can buy a rifle there without a permit so long as you're at least 18 years of age, and you can carry any gun you want any way you want, concealed or not. But hey, they rank #44 on murder rates between 1960 and 2007: US States ranked by murder rate per 100,000 residents (crime rates, home) - City vs. City - City-Data Forum Check out DC, who are #1. For most of that time period they had a complete ban on possessing any handguns, even at home. And yes, you can also find states on that list that have stricter gun laws and less murders/violent crime, and states with lax gun laws and more murders. Go figure.
Dude, pointing at murder rate to demonstrate gun policy is pretty ridiculous. One can be murdered any number of ways, including but not limited to: knife, choking, arson, poison, etc Another thread on gun control....ugh.
Oh man i knew it was only a matter of time. Wasnt ment to be though but im sure it will turn into a flame war just like the other ha.
thats a really disturbing picture from that latest article on the intern of her on the stretcher.. oh and hey btw am i the only one who finds the congresswoman to be very attractive? im not being funny or anything, just saying. very pretty.
Body Found as 12 Dead in U.K. Shooting Massacre - TIME NewsFeed When things like this happen closer to you ( yes i know its an old story, so is the dc sniper) why do you have to make a stretch to things on American soil making you mad? Contradictory statements are contradictory
Yeah its shame i have a feeling it will be a very long road to recovery for her and a hard one at that. As far as attractive goes, well ill agree with you shes not bad looking for a politician ha. I like her though too, hell I voted for her, she just seems very in touch with our district but i guess being so accessible isnt a great idea all the time when this stuff happens.
Uhh.. looks like you just agreed on the point I was trying to make? Hawaii, #47 in murders, here's what Wikipedia has to say about their gun laws:
How did I agree with you? Your point was fine. Your substance was terrible. I don't like how you backed up your point with a half-related group of statistics. (rips hair out of head) Murder =/= gun violence...what is so hard about that? You are bringing up murder stats like murder is exclusive only to those killed by gun. I will not respond to your next post. I have no interest in a gun control debate. Just get some better f'in stats to back up your point.
