So 2 blue misty seedlings are up and growin. look good reburied one. the rest of the good seeds are coming along well. I do expect a 100% germ rate. Now does one keep the soil around seedlings moist always? Also we ought give our seedlings nutes after the first week above ground? or sooner or later. recommened strength i would suspect half strength? is this correct. Can these plants live when it still gets 35 degrees at night? yes this probrally should be in the beginners but ive allready got these plants and got them this far can you believe this pic is from a plant that i started on feb 12th from dry seed. stress, ph, light, nute lockout maybe, cold, all of these things are factors. and i think it might be a male.. Having its morning coffee with me.
ive tied this one down to promote lower branch growth allthough i dont know if tying down is the right thing to do right now?
This lil bugger likes to help me work on the garden. allthough he doesnt understand we dont eat the plants jus yet.
LOL, I know about that... friends cat devoured his sprout! tsk tsk... Your grow is coming along nicely.. I'm getting very impatient with mine.. 3 wks, still little plants, hehe. GL
These plants are primarily from a dry bag seed plant started on feb 12th. so 2 months almost of growing and their small. there is my first true attempt at growing though. so experimenting is #1 on the list to dos. I dont think ill top next time. Maybe one of them lol!!! many lessons have been learned and thats why ive put the blue misty and shivas in the ground, i can raise those right with minimal stress and repotting, good nutes good ph good light everything. i also started this grow with 20 watts of cool blue i recieved the 400 watt hps on 3-22 so most of the growth i believe is from that.
So two seedlings with cotlydons and lil fan leaves are up and growing (blue mystics) and 4 other will break their shell today as they are in that stage out of the ground stem and all seed shell still attached i like to help them shed that when i feel its time. i believe if its time when you knock the shell off the plant just breaths and spreads in like 10 minutes and opens up to the light. I can almost see them squinting. Im impressed with tying down after 1 1/2 days. they can never be too bushy i spose unless flowering.
april 7 well as expected every seed has surfaced and we wait on three to shed the shell as 3 are green and growing. the seedling post from yesterday a blue misty and shes workin on her 2nd fan leaves today. stretching a lil though. Im having a time trying to sex one as i could swear it has a nut looks like a spade man. and my camera is not good enough to get a pic, but everyone says you gotta wait to flower before they sex. this plants 2 months old so i believe its male but its my first one and i need to be sure. This pic is of "will it make it" i posted this one on its death bed with a poll lookin shitty.
hey man i meant to comment on how much everything has turned around since youre repot i can see youre reaping the benifits so far with the tying down. its my favorite way to train and i couldnt see myself doing it any other way unless it was a scrog. im glad you seemed to pull through with it, and looking foward to that flowering run
Thanks naughty: I enjoy hearing that stuff. people dont blow smoke up other peoples arses around the city. And I respect that here in the growing forums. Today it would seem more bad news then good. 4 8 04. The seedlings are s-t-r-e-c-t-h-i-n-g- soooooo bad 2 of them are like 4 inches tall lol. i raised the worst of them about 12 inches. I have acess to 4 48 inch fluros two hot two cool and the housing fixture ect... Its a matter of bringing it home wiring and chaining and inevitably same day activity would be to make a vegging room. i dont want to wait 4 months for a harvest 6 weeks 8 weeks sounds better to me. once the perpetual harvest starts. i need this veg room so maybe today ill get on it. (got some good fresh pot yesterday) last week there was questions about my ventilation. in this pic youll see the oversized ventilation box bringing in air from living areas of the house. the tye dyed cloth is a humidity rag. the oscilating fan blows the fresh air and cools plants. if its too hot in grow area, i put on ac in the house and shut the door to a room so everything cold gos to heaven, my heaven. it works superbly...
IT WAS UNTIED ON 4-7-04 YESTERDAY THIS PIC IS FROM THIS AM LIKE A FEW MINUTES AGO. sorry about the caps really high today. this is my second attempt to post this correctly.. lol is there anywhere else people have tied down growth pics up in the city comparisons and the what not. i was very skeptical because the plants just look wiggggyyyyyywwwaaaaaagggggeeeeeee, all over crazy when tied down..... upon release however its really neat...
another shot different angle. your plants are fine, i know they get stressed when you do this to them, but i think good stress
hi naughty thanks for posting. Mom looks wild uh? she also looks old too, good sort old of course... got some pot last night. seasoned tokers ne 1 have a price thread pg 3.... Ive taken the emergency steps to contiue my seedlings for 2 of them have stretched over 4 inches. The fans on them for the stem strength of course. and the re-bury is today or tomorrow. Ive found mywatering niche as i can see one plants thirsty today with the curled down leaves. felt the soil 2 inches down and it just starts getting moist about there so ill hold off to see if I cant get all plants on the same watering cycle. It feels good to know when to water though. im confident in that now.. lastly.. The emergency steps included getting my friend drunk so he'd give me his unused 48 inch 4 fluro fixture and 4 fluros. This will be lighting for my veg room. aprox 12000 lumens. ONE THING THOUGH HOW DO I WIRE THIS? can the city give me names of items i need i can do it for less than 10.00 usd im thinkin. respond city.... my veg cant go till this is wired...
Same Day.. About 4 hours later............. no need to answer, im not as dumb as i think i ams. Heres what I picked up 4 feet of hot wire and the same for neutral wire connectors electric tape. this cost me 2.99. I went there with 1.50 and the clerk gave me the rest so that i could get the connectors. the wire was .13 cents a foot
...And yet the same day. Ive been really busy. I now have a veg area set-up so I can grow my seedlings on their own. its primitive but it will work everything that needed repotting got it. The Flower run begins tonight. they had been on 18/6 and now will go to 12/12. I need to make the flowering solution to feed as they are all very thirsty. the flower area is shut tight of light from the veg. Im so excited for sexing. the plants are all aprox 12 inches so ive left room for the growth spurt im expecting in the upcoming days.... You must know how exciting this gets now uh??? heres the veg area a 48 inch 4 fluro fixture producing 12,000 lumens on 7 plants. bare minimum lumens is 1500 so im ok. cold could be a problem. the lights are anywhere from 4 inches to 2 inches above the seedlings. i will make their first nute breakfast and feed sunday....
