  1. i have a microsoft keyboard.. and it has a scrolling wheel (like on a moue) on the left side.. and i was wondering if there was anyway to make that wheel control the volume?

    plllease help me :)

  2. Hmmm, is it not labeled?

From experience... scrolls or tabs that move up and down on the left side of keyboards are for Zooming purposes or Scrolling.

Doubt you can make it control Volume.

    maybe im wrong though

  3. Nope, sorry, you would have to find a program that'd allow you to tweak your settings

  4. Yea, the scroll wheel sends a message to windows, telling it to scroll either up or down, there's not way to alter the message without a third party application. I don't know any off hand, but I've coded that sort of thing in C++ before.

  5. If microsoft has a good keyboard/mouse app then it might let you change all the switches and knobs on your keyboard.
I have logitech's software and I can change a whole lotta shit

  6. yea the have microsoft apps then i can change the my music, web, messenger and all those buttons.. but the only thing for the scroll is to turn it on or off
