Compost or nutrient tea application

Discussion in 'Growing Organic Marijuana' started by Maggie'spharm, Sep 1, 2016.

  1. i am just curious about the time to apply my tea. Would I want to have the soil moist, wet, dry? I'm always nervous about "feeding" as I have burned plants before by feeding when they were dry and droopy not the just soil being dry and the plant still happy. Any help would be greatly appreciate first time post so I'm not even sure this is how you ask questions on here.

  2. When I apply teas I wet the soil first then finish it off with the tea... my theory is applying the tea last so is stays in the soil.

Idk if it's right or wrong but it's what I do

  3. you never want to add liquids if the soil is already wet or you will suffocate the roots (they need oxygen too!).
just treat any tea or whatever like you would water and add it when you would normally water your plants.

  4. It's pretty hard to burn plants with compost tea or nutrient teas made from plant materials. This isn't like using chemical fertilizers.
