  2. Please Close this thread . I got lagged and it accidently posted twice !

  3. Mate the thread needs closing because you are expecting to grow 16lbs of MJ in a 25sq ft space...

  4. Sounds like you need to do some reading. With your budget, I would start with "Kamel's CFL Guide". It's at the top of this forum's thread list. Read that, then read it again. Should answer most of your questions. Also, hydroponics isn't for beginners in my opinion. Check out the top post in the organic growing section for a decent, fairly inexpensive, soil recipe. Good luck to you.

  5. Hydroponics or not....if he can pull a pound per plant from 16 plants in a 25 sq ft area then he will actually become the king of growers.....which would be some achievement on a first grow in my opinion lol.

  6. That's a lot of money for that setup, which you could piece together for oh so much less.

Like others said do some reading, especially if your first grow you are dropping thousands of dollars.

  7. Better still, don't drop thousands of dollars until you are educated enough to not ask how much you will yield for 16 plants mate....I might sound like a dick right now, but I'm right...so I can live with that. :)

  8. Set your sights a lot lower yeah...you will not get 16lbs from 16 plants first time around, trust me.

  9. Also I would be astounded to see someone pulls off over 7 gpw. Included are a 400 and 600 watt light. 16 pounds = 256 oz = 7,168 grams if my math is all good. That's astounding levels of yield in my opinion.

  10. So Grow Cabinet i wouldnt do much ?????

  11.

First grow 1/2 pound if you dont fuck up.

Buy 1,000w light with a cool tube relector and a 5 x 5 tent. Shoot for a pound first grow.

  12. Yeah, $7,000 is WAYY to high of a budget for your first grow. I would suggest maybe a grand, and if that's if you were going hydro. Just buy a 4x4 tent, 1,000W light and put down 4-9 Plants and start from there. That set up completely with everything won't touch a grand.

  13. Every thread asking for "Expert advice" has been a pipe dream of a kid who will grow in "Fantasy land"

I have more faith in the person who has some CFL's in a closet growing bag seed. Just going for it.
At least they are trying and working a path to success.

All grows start out with little plants and build up from there, no need for $7,000 worth of stuff.

  14.
Well put. You can grow quality plants for much less. 7 grand is a lot.

  15.
In the early 80's I would make a shopping list from high times ads and design my dream grow room.
Much like the OP but way more in depth.

30 years later I can say iv had some excellent harvest and have a way better set up then I have dreamed as a kid.

  16. I still believe your entire house is created from different parts of cannabis plants. Like it's literaly candy land, but with weed.

  17. Nothing wrong with having big aspirations OP, but there is such a thing as setting your sights way too high. It makes far more sense to set a few realistically achievable goals first time around, make all the typical noob mistakes that 99% of us have all made along the way too, learn from them, and once you have your grow environment dialed in, training methods perfected, feeding schedule precise, etc etc, then you will most likely find yourself pulling double the harvest of your first grow, because practise makes perfect.

But still, 16lbs of MJ from 16 plants in a grow cabinet is only ever going to be possible if you remove the back panel and find that it leads to Narnia....if it doesn't, save yourself 6k, learn the basics, and enjoy the process of growing your own supply! :)

  18.
I feel the same, except for the whole not being alive in the 80s.

I just remember planning out all this shit I wanted to do, and accomplish and big dreams

Then my first grow went to almost complete shit

I look back and wonder what the hell I was thinking.

Also, it may be me, but the more I've grown, I have learned that Potency is a much more fun thing to strive for than yield.

I also spend like the first year of growing just trying to make my buds dense.

  19.
Still have some late 80's early 90's issues of HT...

    Living the dream, brother :smoke:
