Hello all !!! I just ordered my first set of seeds and am looking for advice in purchasing equipment. Nirvana Blue mystic & Hindu Kush I am looking for a hydroponic or aeroponic system that is cheap but effective 10- 20 plan system and a 600w hid with a aggro sun bulb. Anyone know a good cheap web site for lights or hydroponic equipment or even better can recommand a system to choice. Also i have had a hard time finding a light cheap but quality any suggetions ? And would a 600w hid be enough for up to 20 plants if i am doing a SOG? I am very serious about starting a grow and doing it right and will be posting a grow log so any help will be credited and greatly apprcaited.
The cheapest most effective system would be a bubbler...you can construct your own for very cheap. Depending on other variables a 600w system should work for 15-20 in a SOG. Dont know about good websites...I never buy anything online. Peace and GL
try ebay, you can always find a good deal there and if you don't just go back in a day or 2, someones always selling off equip. Bubbler system is a great way to get your feet wet in hydro. You will need additional 2 pieces of equip though if you don't have it already, a PH meter and PPM meter. Here is a pick of my current bubble grow. For a first time grow, I do not recommend going the aeroponic route. It requires a lot of work and maintanance to get it right. Not to mention you will use A LOT of water. Im currently running a 40plant aero setup, and let me tell you its a bunch of work. Like some have mentioned, a bubbler bucket setup or simple drip system would be best route for your first grow. The general rule of thumb for lighting is 50w/sq.foot of plant space. If your looking for some equipment, I might be able to help you, as I do have some ballasts, hoods, and bulbs laying around. Ok i found lights i like Inside Sun 400w HPS - <S>$160.00</S> $135.00 InsideSun 430w HPS - <S>$200.00</S> $160.00 or MS 400 Sunburst System w/Agro Sun Gold - $255.95 I am planning on growing 5-10 plants first grow than 10-20 I have read alot and i am impressed with using the SON Agro bulb Is there any reason i would need 430 over 400 the bulb is rated at 430 but i read it can be used in a 400 just fine So basicly is there any reason i shouldnt just get the base model ? and use a 430w son agro bulb ? Still trying to figure out a hydroponic system using buckets sounds cheap but diffucult to set up any pre made hydroponic systems you guys use ?
Wow going straight to the deep end of the pool while still learing to swim ? Have you every grown MJ before? 10-20 is alot to manage on your first grow, but if you can pull it off. .. . .well done to ya !
