Yes it will all work together. Anything will work in that tent. You hang the lights from the bars on top, holes in the sides or tops or both for the ducting. Easy
You could save some money get a 600w HPS its actually more efficient. Get 2 of those when you can and you'd be square. I believe a 1000w HPS can cover a 4x4 or 5x5 best.
Yeah im def gonna get 2-600w hps when i get some more money saved up.....some good stuff too....but for now....its budget times lol
Eight feet is a little too wide of an area for even a 1000w to support maximum growth in. For best results with a 1000w HID, use a floor area that's about 6x6'. Rectangular floor areas aren't ideal for a single grow space because a bulb's light reaches roughly the same distance in all unobstructed directions. A lamp that properly illuminates a six foot long floor space, for example, will also support six feet of width. Using such a lamp for a 6x3' area would waste nearly half of its energy and therefore almost half the cost of running it. You should also know that higher wattage lamps are more efficient than lower wattage ones. A 3x3' area would require an HID bulb of at least five hundred watts to get the maximum growth & potency of all plants within it. Using lamps of that wattage, you'd need four with a 6x6' area, for a total of at least two thousand watts. Using a single bulb, however, you could get the same results with one 1000w lamp at no more than half the electric & material costs. You should be able to reconfigure your setup for much greater efficiency with all of this in mind. When doing so, keep in mind that most grows don't need a premade tent. You can set up a growing space with ideal dimensions that runs more efficiently at a much lower cost. There are many ways to construct inexpensive walls yourself if you need to section off areas and/or block light.
I use a 1k hps and 8'x4' tent and whole heartedly agree with the advice to use 2 600 watts instead. I sure wish I did. Actually I wish I went with a 4x4' and the 1k honestly since my comfort zone seems to be ~4 plants Oooorrrr use the 1k in half (or just over half) of it and section it off with some Mylar or something. Use some cfl's/smaller HID/whatever in the smaller section and run a 1 tent perpetual grow IF you can figure a way to section it off well enough. Just my $0.02
Yeah im just gonna section off 4x4 and use the other half for storage for now.....eventually ill throw in another 1000w and have one side veg one side bloom
Did you watch the Jorge Cervantes Youtube DVD series? Good pointers on building a area. He erects one in that.
