  2. So Hawaii is strong obama?

oh wait, after searching it seems they fell into the ocean

  3. Most of those people are uneducated about our politics. They just know because of the media "bush bad, obama not bush, obama good,"

  4. I think your generalizing a bit(though I don't disagree they probably don't know much about it, just like us and their elections) but still when Obama traveled to Germany he got a great reception, I thought they liked him. Then again, thats only one instant at one point in time, before he has even had a chance to get a elected but still, I'd like to think that the rest of the world knows this much; Bush and McCain are very similar and at the very least Obama is something different.

  5. Meh I said MOST for a reason though. You know what I mean? because I am sure there are some that are educated.

I talked to a lot of Germans about it and they said most of them that were there probably didn't even get what he was saying.

I saw a German political cartoon in the paper and it had Obama standing there in front of the Column of Victory and it had a sign on it that said "I'm not Bush".

So take from that what you will.

  6. Obama is a self proclaimed "world citizen" so it's only right that the world would buy into his crap as well. They'll all be bummed when they see all of our bases and troops still stationed around the world.
Also, the whole US is not "too close to call" most states are either pro obama or mccain, and not too close to call at all.

  7. Too bad hes not running for president of Europe, Hes a shoe in!

  8. Hehe, doubt it. He's too much of a populist right wing politician. the press here would nail him too the wall for wavering. On the other hand, McCain wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell in Europe. I doubt he'd even get elected for a position in a minor municipal parks and maintanence board here :p

  9. It's obviously intended to be a humorous graphic, lighten up a bit bro.

And just wondering, if the United States and the world are markedly better off as a whole after Barack is done with his one or two terms (if elected at all), will you print out every bit of pessimist dribble you've posted and eat them on youtube?

  10. 49% of the world supports Obama, 12% McCain, the rest undecided.

    I'll agree to that!

Since you've already swallowed all of Obama's dribble, what will you do to make up for your false idolatry when our economy collapses and we're at war with Pakistan and Iran?

And what country wouldn't be in favor of a President who puts the world first and America second? Have you ever read the CFR mantra?

    From Obama's foreign policy adviser:
"We should be therefore supporting a larger Europe, and in so doing we should strive to expand the zone of peace and prosperity in the world which is the necessary foundation for a stable international system in which our leadership could be fruitfully exercised. "

""Today we are again witnessing the emergence of transnational elites … [Whose] ties cut across national boundaries …It is likely that before long the social elites of most of the more advanced countries will be highly internationalist or globalist in spirit and outlook … The nation-state is gradually yielding its sovereignty… Further progress will require greater American sacrifices. More intensive efforts to shape a new world monetary structure will have to be undertaken, with some consequent risk to the present relatively favorable American position."

What country wouldn't want free money? That's what Obama offers them...

  11. LOL that's a bet i'll take.
So now Obama is not only going to make the US "markedly better off" but the whole world as well?
Call it pessimistic dribble if you like, but it's reality man.

question for you: Is this the first US presidential election you followed?

  12. Probably is, sounds like that messiah complex I've been hearing so much about. I think hes starting to show he will do whatever and say whatever to get elected. Don't get me wrong I'm no McCainiac either, lol. Obama appears to be sweating, i myself have decided to sit this one out, I'm in it purely for the entertainment value, hehe.

  13. I think history disagrees. The past is ripe with examples of both single people and groups of people, making huge impacts on their communities in short amounts of time. It's happened plenty here in the US alone.

I'd agree that times have been stagnant of late (the last several decades really), but these are the times when people are the most receptive to a paradigm shift. There only need be more who say "we need to move towards something different and better" than those who say "things are always going to be like this, why bother."

The technological, political, and cultural landscape of modern day America is radically different than at any other point in time. To suggest that politics and government can't evolve to function along side this new world is just silly to me. We've seen it happen enough to know that's not the case.

    No, it is not.

  14. Think so? Give me a couple of Obama's low blows that you found so reprehensible. Show me how Obama is sweating. It's a fairly common sentiment that Obama, if anything, isn't sweating enough in response to the latest wave of Republican bullshit.

I would be something different. Would you vote for me? after all im not bush. This thinking is the reason america will fall. you know when you eat a big box of french fries and when you finally get down to the bottom theres a few deformed, dried out fries left over. Mccain and obama are those fries lol I am scared to think what next election will bring

Whoa, relax, i don't like either candidate. All i mean is the poll numbers are going against him, his obvious gaff with the lipsticked pig, and the simple fact that he ain't generating the press coverage he once commanded, and the fact that he is definitely on the defensive, he flipped on fisa, special intrest, and decriminalization of my beloved mary jane, that's all. As i said for me this is purely entertainment, i hope they both lose

  17. I'm totally relaxed bro, I just don't like it when people say things and provide no basis/context for their thinking.

As far as the polls going against him...This isn't really true. The RNC bump has worn off and Obama is again leading, and slowly gaining separation again. The gaff you mention is barely even news, and in fact it's starting to backfire on the repubs.

In regards to the FISA issue...To say that he flipped isn't entirely true. He was against the old version of the bill, which basically permitted the president to execute any surveilence without it being approved by the court system. Under revised version of the bill, this power doesn't exist. If you remember the wiretapping scandals, they were given the go ahead by Bush, with no court approval (because it wasn't necessary at the time), and thats what made it so bad. Though I will concede I'm not thrilled about FISA either.

As far as special interests...if you wouldn't mind, I'd like to hear exactly what you're talking about. This is the kind of thing that bothers me. Too many people, asked what exactly it is they don't like about Obama (or even Mccain for that matter) just throw out stock answers, I'm sure you've heard a few..."Oh he's inexperienced!" "uhh, hmm, socialism!!!" or "special inerests!" without explaining, or sometmes even understanding the entire situation.

It makes one sound like a buzz word machine, that's all.

If you live in this country, it should mean more than that to you.

Who do you want to win anyway, Ron Paul?

  18. Not true. McCain still has a 2.2% lead on the RCP average.

If anything this will turn into a dead heat. Not a lead for Obama.

  20. You do that.

Things won't change till the debates.
