It's a mother fucking free for all.

Marijuana running rampant in the streets. People smoking their bongs and joints all over the place. It's just chaos

 

Google man, there is tons of information everywhere about this. It's not in effect yet, and I would wait for the current administration to comment on what it's going to do first. They have remained silent, We just have to wait to see what happens first.

 

It isn't legal until the governor signs it into law (or something like that, I'm not a fucking congressman ) and he has thirty days to do that. Basically possession and use will be legal by December 6th.

Now, it is going to be another year or two before legislation is enacted to allow recreational dispensaries. Plus they need to figure out how they are going to tax and regulate growing and distribution.

Long story short, you'll still need a dealer, or a medical card, but you can smoke to your hearts content. Same rules as alcohol apply, there is a legal driving limit, 5 nano grams per milliliter THC content, and you can't smoke it or be blatantly intoxicated in public.

 

Do they have an accurate way to enforce this driving limit? Because a blood or urine test proves nothing

The blood test is as accurate as it gets but I'm sure a field sobriety test will suffice for arresting for DUI. In Colorado the field sobriety test consists of a walk and turn, standing on one leg, and horizontal gaze nystagmus (involuntary eye movement).

Just want to point out again that I am not a lawyer so don't take anything I say too seriously until you do a little more research into it.

 

U are incorrect. The 5 nanogram law only was in effect for a few months. They got rid of it overa year ago.

I'm planning on moving to Colorado as well. I am hoping to get my medical card though, I would much rather get medical quality than buy from a shady shop selling for recreational use.

The difference is I have had these plans long before Amendment 64 was passed, haha. I went to Denver once as a child and fell in love with the city. I have family there as well. The meds are just a HUGE perk.
