Colorado law on paraphernalia + medical marijuana?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by provin1327, Sep 14, 2009.

  1. So since you can legally carry and have marijuana on you, what does the law say about paraphernalia? Can I carry a pipe in my car or my pocket along with my marijuana?

  2. As a patient you should be sure to read, then re-read the law a couple of times to get a complete understanding... here is the link:
    Statute 0-4-287

More random information is available on the Health Dept website here as well:
    Medical Marijuana in Colorado

    (b) "Medical use" means the acquisition, possession, production, use, or transportation of marijuana or paraphernalia related to the administration of such marijuana to address the symptoms or effects of a patient's debilitating medical condition, which may be authorized only after a diagnosis of the patient's debilitating medical condition by a physician or physicians, as provided by this section.

  5. once i graduate from university i plan to move to a medical state, if obama doesnt legalize by then haha. Im very interested in colorado but have a few questions that maybe you guys can help with: how many dispensaries are near you and what did you go through to get medical? are your laws similar to california's? in terms of cops harassing you, getting a recommendation, getting medicine...
thank you for any help you can give me

  6. very similar. its a little harder to get one, unless you have the right doc.

if you still have questions after provin's PM, you can always ask me. i got mine SOOOO easily!

  7. thanks for all the helpful info guys! really appreciate it

  8. I was really curious about this the other day too, since I always have a one-hitter and bowl in my car for emergency pain relief. I haven't smoked it while driving since I got my card actually, it is more for if I ever need it during school or work, but I was always a little sketched out. This made me feel so much better!

Also, I have my card in Colorado. I feel like the medical scene is great right now, and I can see it's statewide on the forums. I'm in Boulder but I often see people in Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Loveland, Denver, and much more. Finding a doctor takes a little work, but it's worth it. PM me if you have any questions!
