Colorado black market

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Pot4fun, Jan 15, 2014.

  1. Is there still an illegal market for marijuana in colorado (besides children)? Post what you've observed so far since legalization. One would think there's no more dealers but since marijuana is cheap to grow i think they would just undercut the dispensary prices

  2. Yes people still buy from friends especially the 18-20 crowd. There's still folks who don't like rec quality still so they will continue to buy from med patients. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

  3. i thought recreational and medicinal came from the same sources?

Most dispensaries I've been to grow their own. I'm sure it's the same with rec. I've heard of independent growers selling their harvest to dispensaries but I've never ran across that where I'm buying. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

  5. I think you're going to see a lot of people over 21 buy legal weed and sell to people under 21. I'm not even saying that's a bad thing, that's just what's going to happen.

  6. It happens with Alcohol and Cigarettes, it's going to happen with weed.

  7. Exactly. I don't even think it's a bad thing. 18 year olds should be able to smoke, but I get why they had to make it 21 for the first place in the country.

  8. Yes, they export like a mother****** now.. Lol my buddy that's a dealer gets a pound every 2 weeks... I get an oz from the same guy once month... At 175 an oz. for medical sour diesel I can't complain... Lol

Every rec store has to grow their own. And every single rec store right now was a dispensary by law. And since rec stores couldnt start growing their own until Jan 1st, theyre using their dispensary stash. So quality is the same. However, prices are more expensive in a rec store so people are still using dealers. Most people 18-21 either have a card or know someone with a card and get it cheaper from the dispensaries. People who are buying from dealers right now are casual smokers. They dont feel the need to grow, get their card, or pay high prices for rec weed. And their "dealers" are usually just small time guys who buy it from the dispensary anyways. Then theres the old man growers who sell qps of dank for basically pennies to their other old friends that make brownies, smoke and play with in other ways to help with problems of old age. Idk about kids in high school much....pretty sure they just buy off of friends who bought off someone else who bought off someone else etc...

  10. And people using rec stores are tourists, or very normal people who occasionally smoke after work or whatever. A few of course are old folk and kids but theres the basics.

  11. Also, the high prices are due to the lack of quantity, considering they are previous stashes. Once springtime comes, there will be much more supply which will equal lower prices. Of course, a small part of the high prices was to take advantage of the high demand early on. Once those rec prices do lower, I imagine more local people will use them more, and dealers will be almost extinct. Gangster dealers have already quit selling weed, and those are the ones who need to be gone anyways.

  12. Is this even a real question? Recreational weed is way overpriced...-Ounces ounces ounces

  13. I'm 22 and I only buy edible other then that I'm not going to pay for 300 dollars an ounce at a dispensary when I can get it from my friend for 100 of dank blue dream.

  14. i live in washington

we dont have stores yet but it's legal just like co. if some places in co are like $50+/eighth then it just wouldnt make sense and if that were here everyone would still buy from their other connections. i mean if that's what like $14ish a gram when on the street i can get decent bud for no more than $6-7/g

  15. Washington will surely be the same. Theyve already approved the high taxes there. Also, we get to grow in Colorado, but people are still paying the prices. They will lower eventually though.
