got accepted to CU boulder, Gonzaga, Uni of Portland, and NYU…but i can't decide which to go. Can you guys help me decide which to commit to?
depending on what you intend to get a degree in id say pick between nyu and boulder. just fyi you'll probably have way more sex at boulder
the only thing is that Uni of Portland that even has it still on my list is that they want to give me a partially free ride (about 50% off)
NYU is not worth the money AT ALL. Education there isn't anything special for undergrad. So you have two choices...and one of them is a legal state. I HIGHLY, HIGLY, HIGLY recommend that for undergrad, you choose the most cost effective school. You can make any degree work, if you put in the time for studying and the time you find work/internships along the way.
that's the thing, CU Boulder is almost $50k a year without room and books and stuff so rn im gonna apply to a few more schools because the absolute deadline for apps is January 1st
Very good. Broaden your options, it can't hurt. Especially if you were already accepted, you must have your essays already down, so repeating a few common applications can't be difficult.
definitely go the most cost effective route. Undergrad is undergrad and pretty much every school around the country is going to offer the same classes, especially if you're going toward a general route like pre-med, as opposed to engineering or some specialty literature class or something. University of Portland sounds appealing in that regard, but apply to a few more places and see whats up.
NYU costs over 70K a year for tuition, living expenses and health care. Their law and dental programs tuition cost even more. If you're made of money, go for it. If not, pick something cheaper.
Do this. Tuition has skyrocketed. Better yet, find a school in state since tuition is cheaper that way. Just do your research and make sure that's what you want since school can have a hefty price tag and it's wise to be picky.
i would generally agree with going with an in state school but some states are just ridiculously expensive to live in, and the schools may be cheaper for an in-state student but still high. Im from california, born and raised. But i went AZ for school. I spent significantly less on my education then many of my friends who went to UCs or Cal States. Education will be the same but overall experience will vary. But then that will vary per person anyways.
yeah i totally agree man. But rn I'm not even going to try to get into a UC or CSU because both are packed up the ass with incoming students.
Well for you it wouldn't be worth it. UC schools are only good for in-state students that can get reduced tuition.
NIGGA GO TO A UC THEN. -UC schools are top-quality. -Cheap for you. -A degree from there not only looks good, but if earned with a decent GPA, it means you actually learned something. Look at this list. http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20141016006128/en/CollegeNET-PayScale-Introduce-Social-Mobility-Index-SMI I got accepted to UCLA, UCSD, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara. I would have died to go anyone of those schools if I could afford it.
yeah you're right man. Where do you live and where are you going? Im currently applying to UCSC, pepperdine (just for kicks) and UCSB since some of my best friends are going there. God i wish i had the cash to go to pepperdine. SO MANY HOT BITCHES AND DRUGS THERE
