coinstar

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by smokeybarvis, Feb 7, 2011.

  1. coinstar is the shit! just got around 90 bucks! im sure you all can guess where thats going

  2. Or you could have went to your bank (you should have one) and got it done free without paying Coinstar's ridiculous fees resulting in more bud!

  3. This.

I used to roll my coins when I was little. It was something I'd do like once a month. I collect coins from everywhere. in middle school no one care about dimes or nickels! except me. and I took them all the way to the bank.

  4. Hmm... I got a shitload of coins from change that I have saved up. Maybe it's time to cash that in and get weed n stuff...

  5. my bank doesn't unfortunately :(. and i know you can just give them the coins if they dont have a coin counter but i get sketched out by banks anyway haha. on top of that giant is much closer to my house than my bank is haha. thanks for the advice though!:D

  6. you can cash them anywhere that has a cash register..

  7. what percentage did they take?

  8. not really, some stores wont even cash in bigger bills for smallers bills or vice versa.

  9. I don't know if you have them in your area, but I've found that TD banks have coin machines that are free. This way you don't need an account there and you don't need to talk to tellers.

Other then that, you're best plan is to roll them, which is pretty simple anyway.

  10. not true there are plenty of places that dont. but even if that were true im not going to make a poor old mentally challenged person who works at giant count 90 dollars of coins

  11. okay so 8/10 stores will do it lol

so if you work at a gas station you're retarded? but yea that's why you roll them before you cash them in if it's over like 3 bucks..

  12. i didnt say that if you work at a gas station you're retarded. i said that i wouldnt make a mentally challenged person count my coins cuz the cashier who cashed my coinstar voucher was mentally challenged. prolly 40% of the people who work at my giant are mentally challenged. and many of the stores in my area dont cash rolls because its easy to miscount the coins in the rolls. i would know because 1 i live in my area....you dont and 2 i used to work at a store that didnt do that. im sure you like trying to point out a mistake of mine but i really could care less about the fee. i got 90 bucks im satisfied

  13. lol i'm not pointing out anything just saying stores DO cash change weather you want to bleive it or not. maybe not all but they do..

  14. 9.8 % ridiculous i know. oh well

  15. and im telling you stores in my area DONT :) WHETHER you want to believe it not

  16. Actually, US coins aren't legal tender, nobody is required to even accept them as a form of payment, we do because they're useful. And I've found that if you walk up to a cashier in a store and ask them to change $20+ worth of coins they'll say no.

  17. have you tried every store? how many have you tried?

i find that hard to believe.. and i cash in 20$ of rolled up dimes and quarters just last nihgt..

  18. That means you gave them $9.77 to count your change! I must say that who ever thought of the coinstar idea is a genius!

  19. I'm guessing not going to pay bills ts?

  20. David, i respect your headstrong-ness (is that a word? w.e should you get the point) but you should prolly let it go. You were able to cash some coins, great! im am very glad for you. I dont understand why you keep arguing though because I know what i can do in MY community. I am explaining something out of personal experience.
