Not going to post a pic, because it's not pretty haha. But I took the time to twist up some 28g today and build a 4 wrap around a q tip. Just a single coil at 0.4, and god damn is it nice. Haven't twisted any wire in a while, and couldn't build a satisfying single coil when I got back into buiilding this month. This definitely is though. 2-3 second pulls are all I can handle, though I do use 9mg juice.
So I started off using 20g for the frame and I connected both negatives and both positives to themselves, bottom ring is the negative and the top is positive, Then I branched 4 vertical coils using 26g and 7 wraps, I used tweezers and players to wrap the coil legs to the 20g frame, comes in at point 0.2ohms, 90w is where I like it, I tried first on my phenotype but the 2 post made it difficult so I decided to go with the dead mods glass rda which is 4 post and made it so much easier and you can see the frame through it, This was my third attempt and took about 3 hours to get done, each time I started again I couldn't give up and had to finish, The last 2 pics are failed attempts, All in all is worth it? No, not really, a pair of fused clap tons beat any build imo... Bought some pre made Clapton's. I don't have the time to sit and build so I got lazy and bought. $1 a coil so I can't hate. Either way I'm not into super hit vape so I wasn't into the dual coil set up. Cut it down to one and I'm digging it. Good flavor and good clouds. Can't complain. What coils are very high ohms? Mostly all of the coils in this thread fall under 0.4 ohms. The claptons I just posted ohm to 0.16. They require 115+w to fire correctly. Generally speaking, a coil approaching 1ohm requires less power. The only real exception being high ohm builds for a series box mod.
here is my current build on my griffin 22mm RTA fused 28 gauge a1 Kanthal, wrapped with 34 gauge a1 Kanthal. Dual Coil, 0.3-.0.4 ohms.
