Had a bagseed while I waited for seed order to come in. I normally use 2 gallon hempy buckets but this plant is MASSIVE compared to what I normally grow and i know it wont last in 2 gallons. Questions/help needed. 1. Ideas/tips on transplanting to 5 gallon hempy as I have never transplanted anything bigger than a coco solo cup and that even gets messy. 2. How long would you let it sit in the 5 gallon before flipping to 12/12? 1 week? 2 week? For those who dont know hempy buckets. Has a whole 2 inch up the side for a resv at the bottom, only 1 small hole to drain water. Perlite bottom 3inches coco/perlite mix top. Using the KISS method, 7g maxibloom only. So far I am impressed from using my old stuff. Stalks bigger than a lighter EZ on 6 week from seed. Plan to keep my bought seeds on something to boost them higher to the lamp. Wont be cloning the bag seed. TIA
I run 100% perlite herpies buckets. If the solo cup is well rooted, most of it will stay together. Careful with 7g maxibloom, I had nute buildup by the start of flower. Burned a ton of leaves. BL
So far no nute burns w/ 7g, maybe a little to much N as its very dark green leaves. making sure at least 20% runoff and i am talking about a 2gallon to 5gallon, little nervous w/ size. was wondering if anyone had tips/tricks for larger pot transplants
Here's how my 3.5 gallons looks at harvest. I transplant 1/2 gallon into 3.5 gallon. It's going to be messy. Haven't seen 2 gals to 5 gal transplant. My best guess it'll be messy. BL
I only use a heavy 1/4 teaspoon the whole way through aside from bloom boosters and silica blast. 1 tsp =7grams to give you an idea. Less is more. Ya may wanna think about lowering your ppm a bit going into flower. Just my 2 cents. GL ~ vape Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
