Coco Canna-Oil Shelf Life?

Discussion in 'Cannabis & Weed Edibles: Cooking & Recipes' started by Chronic777, Sep 11, 2012.

  1. Does anyone know how long Coconut Cannabis Oil should last for?

I've had some in my fridge for well over a year, i know coconut oil will keep this long easily, especially in the fridge, but will the THC have degraded?

I can't remember how much cannabis was even in there but me & a buddy are going to eat it friday bit by bit, we'd scoff the lot but i know how ugly it can get & i don't want to put him off eating it forever as im trying to get him to stop smoking... im thinking have one flapjack each on empty stomach, wait an hour & smoke a small J, then if nothing happens after an hour eat some more... im thinking an hour should be enough as coconut oil is easily absorbable, increases metabolism & we'll have empty bellies

  2. You actually want to eat a small fatty meal about 45 mins to an hour before consuming that oil. It makes it easier to absorb apparently because your stomach is concentrating on that meal.

  3. Thanks for the tip dude, ill be cooking the oil into flapjacks so will be eating something, in my experience in the past empty stomach has always been best if i want to feel the effects fast but i can see how getting your metabolism going a bit may help, i may have a teaspoon of coconut oil (not canna-oil) half hour before to get the ball rolling...
