Hi, I want to start producing CO2 NATURALLY using yeast and water and sugar. I am going to buy 3 bags of sugar and 6 packs of yeast. I am also going to buy a 6 litre JUMBO jug of juice. First I dissolve 1 bag of sugar in hot water in the jug. Then add yeast. Then put lid on. I am going to cut a small hole in the cap and attach a 1/2 inch tube with holes in it all the way along and a cap at the end. This tube will sit in my hydro setup beside the plants. I am going to set my timers to shut the fans off for half hour 3 times a day, this is when i will put the jug in the room. My question is when I dont have the jug in the room is it ok to put a different lid on it one that is still intact and seals the jug, or will that stop the fermentation?? Or will that create a burst effect of CO2 when i change lids and put it in the room??? IS THERE ANY WAY TO REGULATE THE CO2 WITH A 6 LITRE CO2 JUG??
Putting a lid on the jug will likely result in it exploding due to pressure building up inside the jug.
