CO2 for auto flower grow

  1. Hi guys

I’m gearing up to run CO2 from a tank. The controller comes with a light sensitive sensor so it shuts off the co2 when lights are off. (18/6 for both tents)

I have two tents in a smallish grow room, it’s almost a sealed system hence I need the co2. And possible high temperatures.

So I guess the sensor needs to go into one of the tents (flower / veg ?) to read the co2 and check if lights are on or not.

Now in terms of the co2 on the plants, do I simply split the outgoing co2 pipe and run one to each tent?
Being a sealed system I’m not expecting much co2 waste.

Anyone have experience? I know mostly CO2 is meant for the whole room. Should I just let it go into the room and hope the plants get it through fan circulation? I have an ACInfinity extracting each tent.

    Thanks

  2. co2 is for large commercial operations.
I think it will cause more harm than good.

  3. Bkarnaze, thanks for your reply, and your opinion. Can you tell me why it might cause more harm than good? I have purchased a controller (no regulator or CO2 bottle yet) and I see that the CO2 PPM drops to around 340, and up to around 800 after I’ve been in the room for a while.

  4. I bought 2 Exhale bags and a co2 meter to check this out.
In a vented tent, my breath had a bigger effect than those bags.

In a vented tent, co2 is quickly sucked out.
An unvented tent has stagnant air issues.
co2 also adds complexity and cost.
My opinion is that for small home growers, a vented tent without co2 is better than an unvented tent with co2.
