jst a little good info for ppl useing co2..... All C3 Metabolism Plants go through a nocturnal process called 'Dark Respiration'. 'Dark Respiration' is basically a multi-part process of creating energy by oxidizing sugars. This energy is required for biosynthesis and several important metabolism functions. It is critical to the overall plant growth rate. Night-time CO2 levels in excess of 900 PPM cause the stomata of C3 plants to close thus inhibiting 'dark respiration' which consequently deprives the plant of the energy required to achieve maximum potential. It is very common to find excessively high night-time CO2 concentrations in sealed grow rooms and where pilot burners are used. It is possible to control the plants 'dark respiration' rate by altering the CO2 concentration. At night C3 plants release CO2 which should be evacuated whenever the level exceeds 600 PPM. This will provide an ideal respiration rate. so basically keep co2 levels at 1500 ppm in the day and 600 or less at night
Joe you dircted me to this page but I'm still not sure how to add and remove CO2. What equiment do I need to Add CO2? Remove CO2? Test CO2?
adding co2 can be done useing compressed co2(tanks) or using a co2 generator(gas/propane burner), and also useing a co2 controller you plug your suplemental co2 into your controller and set the controller to your desired rate(1500 ppm). but for the night you want less than 600 ppm, they do sell co2 controllers that have a night setting but its not nessesary, for extracting the co2 you do it like extracting heat from any indoor grow with a carbon filter and fan, but you do it at night, either with a co2 controller or on timers
just the info i needed. thank you. check out my grow http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/531815-1000w-mh-hps-lst-scrog-dwc-first-grow.html
