Cloudy bong water!?

Discussion in 'Dabbing Tools & Cannabis Concentrate Gear' started by Rise Against, Sep 11, 2012.

  1. So I got a mini-oil can rig. And the more I use it, the cloudier the bong water gets. All I do is dab. Is this something to be concerned about? Please help :(

No. It's just reclaim building up.

  3. Change the water?

  4. Same problem happens to me...

My personal theory is the thick vapor of the errl leaves behind trace amounts of oil isolated (not clumping together) and floating in the water... sort of like the lighter-colored "reclaim" that you find on the inside of the walls of any rig that has water.

    Anyone agree?

  5. I dont think its errl, if anything it would be water soluble compounds left behind, not oil, oil doesnt mix with water.

I have always been under the assumption its oxidation from your nail. you need to change your water pretty often.

Very good point. You're right. Disregard what I said earlier folks! I do believe jimmy here is correct!

Wait, so your saying so much oxidation dust comes off the nail when you dab that it builds up in the water enough to make it cloudy? If this is true, wtf are we doing to our lungs? Is there "oxidation" in dab smoke? what does that mean?

  8. This is a great discussion. I cant wait to see what others think and i really cany wait for the true scientific answerSent from my SGH-M919 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  9. I dont think its doing too much to your lungs, especially if you're smoking proper oil. All these compounds are extremely medicinal which is why I wasnt really trippin off the whole Mystery Oil thing. I already knew the lube was in the cans, I thought everyone that made BHO knew that lol I did before I even started making it.

My theory is that whatever damage the MO or oxidation(if thats what it even is) could do would be, for the most part, negated due to all the cannabinoids/terpenes doing their job. Now I'm no doctor or scientist so take anything I said with a grain of salt cause like I said, this is just my 'theory'

Thats kinda why I dont like dry dabs, I feel the water catches some of those things

  10. Dude someone jacked off in your bong waterSent from my SCH-I535 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
