cloth shopping bag as an air pot?

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Poobrick, Oct 17, 2011.

  1. Hello. I have a bunch of cloth shopping bags and I was wondering if anyone ever tried using them as air pots. They would be 5 gallon pots from the calculation I used (length x width x height x 0.004329 = gallons volume). I have seen them for sale at local grocery stores as tote bags so you don't use tons of plastic bags. Only problem I see is water flowing through them quickly or maybe getting mildew. So if you have tried this and have any experiences, good or bad, let me know. Thank you!

  3. that was my immediate thoughts on it as well, though I've never tried it. seems like cloth like that could get moldy or mildew or some other shit real quick.
