Hi guys I'm starting a new thread for my grow. My original thread is in the beginnners section, its called "first BAG SEED grow! 6 plants out of 9 seeds (updated everyday)" My plants have been budding for about 5 weeks. Been on 12/12 for about 6-7 weeks. I have one tall straight plant with a huge bud at the top, and one bushy plant that has 2 main tops and 4-6 lower tops. I am using 6 x 26watt CFLs. 4 red spectrum and 2 blue spectrum. My buds are getting very crystally. Alot of the hairs have turned red. I should expect another 3-4 weeks of flowering. I just bought a mini microscpoe at Radioshack for $10, to look at the triches. The triches are still pretty much all clear, so seem to be not done developing (meaning they dont have the ball tips yet). I have only looked at 1 sample.
Wow bro that looks VERY nice under the CFL. Keep me updated , i'm interested in how many grams (dried) you get , thoses look very fat for being under floros
Thanks bro. Comments are appreciated. One plant is in Shultz slow release ferts (.008 - .12 - .08) Can I get rid of them by flushing them out 2 weeks before harvest?

The triches seem to be in all states. Amber, clear n a few cloudy-ish. I was lookin under a soft white incandecent lamp. How done do my plants look?
Just by looking at the plant I would say you still have some time left. But they can be tricky. The only sure way to know is by the trichs and then its just a preference of what kind of smoke you like. As long as you don't cut them down too early.\ You might have already seen this, but its a damn good example. Thanks senior_ganj. I checked the triches again today. Only a few ambers. I cant tell if they are clear or cloudy. I've concluded that my flowering period started on Friday, the 19th of January, because thats when the preflowers showed the hairs. This puts my plant in the 6th week of flowering (?). I think I'm going to chop sometime between the first and second week of March. Should I rather chop later than too soon?
Honestly it's all about preference. If you chop a little too late, you'll have a more stoned crop and it'll be more of a body high. If you chop to early if will be more of a head high and energetic. So it's all about what you want. Normally I aim for half and half (half amber half cloudy) but I can promise you you're not going to lose potency by leaving it out an extra week. But if you are already seeing amber trichs you're getting close and probably won't notice any difference in potency if you cut now as compared to a week I imagine. You may notice a difference in the size of the buds. Make sure to start flusing and don't get too anxious.

This is a stupid quesiton, and I am new to growing so you will excuse me when I ask, what is flushing?
Flushing is watering the plants 2-3x the pot size, to get rid of all of the crap. You don't want to be smoking chemicals and shit. Beautiful ladies, awesome to see more and more CFL grows coming up
Yeah, I cant belive how fat my plants are with just some 26watt CFLs, let alone how far I've gotten. I know my bud wont weigh more than a 1/4, but hey I think I've been very successful up till this point and its all thanks to the city.
