Closest Call

  1. Okay so this isn't a very long story but I'm bored and it was pretty scary for me so I'm telling it. This evening I had a party to go to and as usual I blazed a little beforehand, just a small chillum bowl with the guy who dealed me my current bud. On my way there I called the host and he let me know that it was going to start a little late so I decided to burn a small jay. I went to the hotel that I normally blaze behind with my friends because it's the closest "spot" to the party. It's a lower lot that's separated from the main one a little, usually used by people who are going to walk the trails in the woods next to it. I'd never seen a po there before but this whole spring break my friends had been warning me about it. I decide to take the risk so I parked down there anyway... being the idiot that I am, I decided to park near the front by a bus stop so I could use its light to roll under. I knew that if a po were to come I'd most likely be fucked, and while I got out my papers to roll I thought about what I would do if I were in the middle of rolling a jay and one of them were to come. I chuckled to myself about the possibilities and continued to get set up. Joints and blunts are my favorite way to smoke so I can roll freehand (no flat surface) jays in under a minute. I figured I would be out of there in under two. As I licked the edge of my paper to seal it up I heard a noise and lo and behold; a po 20 meters from the entrance of the lot, quickly approaching. I stuff the jay down my pocket and wait to see what he is going to do. I sort of forgot to mention that this was earlier tonight; there was no one else around and I probably looked very suspicious. Amazingly the po passed behind my car to make a loop around the lot instead of pulling up next to me in order to ask questions. I didn't sit there pondering my good luck. Instead I booked it straight out of there as the po reached the far end of the lot! Thankfully my jay was intact afterwards, but my heart was pounding. I was sure the po had seen me under the light with the jay up to my lips and I was prepared for the worst at that moment. To this day I've never been closer to a true confrontation and I am just lucky I encountered either a lazy or naive cop.

Not going back to that spot again :D

  2. Maybe the cop was just a cool guy.

    Cops can be people too!

    Sometimes.
