Im about to order a 2.5lb closed column extractor, and was wondering if anyone has any information on how well they work vs just a open chamber. I currently run thru a glass tube that holds 240g and get a 12% to 15% return, and need to step up to a 2.5lb extractor. Are they any good also using butane as ky solivent.
Definitely closed column. The reasons they are better is because you get to soak your material for whatever length of time you desire, this also saves on butane. You also yield more due to the increase in pressure. Did you order the extractor yet? I've got a hook up, I can get you a nice price.
