Cloning with nebulizers (Mediumless cloning?)

Discussion in 'Advanced Growing Techniques' started by Figgy, Jun 16, 2008.

  1. Hello Grassies. I'm here with my first (of hopefully many) questions about theoretical grows (which will be turned into real grows once I have all the details worked out.)

Okay...first I need to do a touch of explanation.

For recent weeks, I have been delving deeply into the concept of nutrient nebulization using an ultrasonic mist-maker, and I have recently formulated an idea that using this method of growing, a completely mediumless means of cloning plants.

    Here's my idea.

    Step 1:

Veg a mother plant for about 6 weeks.

    step 2:

Take several cuttings from the mother at a steep angle just below one of the leaf nodes.

    step 3:
Remove the lower foliage from the cutting and dip in a highly viscous rooting gel (I'm not sure which brand yet)

    step 4:
place the cutting's stalk inside a neoprene collar inside the nute nebilization chamber.

    step 5:
    watch the roots grow.

anyone have any info about this? any thoughts as to whether it would work?
