Hey guys. So basically I took some clones off a plant I was about to change over to 12/12, not looking at the weather forecast...My clone area is stuck in a bit of a hot spot and there's not much that can be done other than waiting for cooler months, so I pretty much just cut them for laughs to see how they'd go. Also the mother has all sorts of issues going on. Massive nute burn as I had to leave for a few days to find my res had been drank/evaporated down to about a litre in the bottom and what was left was a tasty 2.9EC soup. This was clone attempt number 2...First time around I took 10 cuts, 8/10 rooted. This time I only had 9 cubes so I tried for 9 and sure enough, on day 11, I've got roots on 4/10. The other 6 are pretty much done for though i'd say...I could quote probably 10 different posts claiming that temps over 30c on the heat mat will cook your roots and your plants will never have a chance... I say lol @ that. What are your experiences cloning in excessive heat? Or growing for that matter? From what I keep seeing time and time again, these plants can tolerate SO much more than people give them credit for. We'll see how they handle my horrible neglect when they move to veg though
I don't here you laughing, get your shit together, then find a moment in your life to learn this art, 3rd find a healthy mother, 4th ...go bubbleponics and build a bubble cloner ...good luck!
As I said, this is only my second grow attempt and I had to leave for a few unexpected reasons. I only cut the clones in the off chance I wouldn't have to pop more seeds and it looks like it worked fine. I've read enough on hydroponics, growing and plant biology, and general horticulture for that matter, so i'm already well on the path of learning. The next step is to start growing, and i've taken that step and i'm putting what i've learned into action, and it's working great. I don't really get what you're post is meant to say. Are you criticizing me? You tell me to get my shit together, then offer useful advice and 'good luck'. You're hard to interpret lol. And yes, i'm definitely laughing even if you can't hear me The last line was definitely sarcasm, they will be treated like babies And I planned on making this when I have the time http://forum.grasscity.com/do-yourself/444974-lets-build-clone-machine-step-step.html
here ya go man much cheaper for the time being...gotta watch the temps though http://forum.grasscity.com/do-yourself/1127189-fayes-coffee-can-cloner-diy-tutorial.html?hl=coffee+can
Thanks man, much appreciated! My budget is my main concern so that definitely looks like a smart option, thanks a lot
