Hello, I got 6 clones from my Friend to get me started and I'm looking at a few strains to start my next batch with and I hear that the Feminized seeds are not that good to clone or grow because of they have a such high chance of Hermi is this true? Now if you get the regular seeds and you don't know if there Male or female till after you start to flower the plant can you take clones off of a plant that is already in flower? I heard that you can't. Thanks for your Help
basically, if you buy a clone that's already been in 12/12 for any amount of time, it's going to have started the flowering hormones, and throwing it back in 16/8 or 24/0 (whatever that won't force flowering) will make you lose 2 weeks or more just because growing will basically come to a halt while it goes back to veg...or reveg i guess..
Nothing wrong with cloning femmed strains at all I'veclonedmany femmed strains. Taking clones during flowering is extra hassle but I have done it, even during late flower. It takes longer because not only does the clone have to root but it also has to reveg. They grow back a bit wild like a Monster Crop
