Cloning and Flowering questions Help Please

  1. Ok recently I decided to presex my plants by cutting the light but now they have showed their sex and I have 2 female out of 3. There like 2 feet tall and lsted so I have now decided under the 400w that there big enough to make some decent buds and to keep on with the flowering. Now I was wondering if you can clone a plant in the flowering stage and keep the clone in 12/12 to keep up with the original plant. Would it just keep flowering? I have like 10 tops on one of these females and I could spare some for clones. Just wondering. Id really appreciate any advice or anything, thank you.

  2. Hey.

I havnt tried this personally, however from what I understand you can take a clone from a flowering lady, however the success rate is lower, and will take longer if successful. It would be best for it to have more light than the 12/12 hence why people have two different chambers for the mother, and the clones. I would assume it would grow under 12/12 but doesntt sound like the best conditions, and I dont believe anyone could answer this question exactly as the answer differs depending on skill and environment.

  3. Yeah ive seen pictures of plants that were basically just a bud from 12/12 from the beginning. Im just needing to know the specifics on how to do it.

  4. How to do what? Sounds to me like you understand whats going to happen and your just looking for some miracle on how to make a clone be as good as the mother under 12/12.

  5. if you want to sex your plants, don't put the whole thing into flower. take a cutting and flower that. what you did can (probably did) really slow things down. anon is right. clones taken in flower, take longer to revert, but they're bushier than ones taken in veg. i haven't noticed any diff. in survival rates though. and you don't want to cut clones and immediately put tem in flower. you need some veg time.

  6. thanks for that I appreciate it.
