Clones, transplanting and lighting.

  1. Hey'a GC.

Say I rooted my clones in a diy aero cloner, would it be safe to transplant them to soil? Or should they be rooted in the same medium they will be grown in, period?

Also, what kind of lighting is ideal for clones (disregard the schedule, I mean TYPE of lights and colour)? I would be using 100-400 watts of HO t5 with a 50/50 red to blue ratio.

    Thanks heaps! :D

I couldn't find anything on this using search D:

  2. Yes u can plant them in soil and a 50 50 mix i do prefer for cloning.

  3. ^^^ hes rite I wait until roots are about a inch then plant wait a week then to hid

  4. yeah they will take to soil just fine. I use two 10w t4s for cloning. they are moved under bigger lights as soon as roots show, about 5 days. I suspect your light system will work fine, but if you find you lose some clones, try turning a couple of the tubes off. I find lower light slows the demand the leaves put on the roots. you can have the same effect by cutting some leaves off but then after its rooted its got to re grow those leaves then
