How would you execute planting clones in perlite I have a product called take root and its a powder, do I add water? How do you cut clones and plant them in general? Thanks
Use vermiculite,peat,rockwool,oasis cubes..perlite is very coarse for tender roots,and wont hold much water,,it is mainly used to aerate soil you intend to transplant the established seedlings into. Trim cuttings from a healthy plant in veg stage,at angle to desired length,with at least one node along stem below growing tip/chutes, dip wet clone stem into jar of rooting powder cover stem to soil height,,lightly tap off excess powder. Carefully lower into desired rooting medium....water lightly till well moistened. Place in low light, humid area,fine mist with tepid water at least once a day for a couple days. keep medium moist but don't overwater...
