Clones, how long before you place them into your bubble bucket~

  1. So it has been two weeks since I cut my clones and they must still be living becuase there still green and all, some of the leaf's (the lower leaf's) have died, but basically all the top leafs look pretty healthy, but there is no root showing out the bottom of the rockwool cube yet, should I wait till the root breaks through the bottom of the rockwool?

Also what strength nutes should I use? Half strength the first week and then full strength after that?

    What would you folks say?

  2. I would say treat it like a seedling and only use 1/4 strength at first and maybe bump to a half dosage when it starts getting noticeable growth. Clones are pretty small (unless you're making them big?) and generally won't ever need full strength nutes.

Also about the roots, ya just make sure you can see the roots coming out and maybe hanging down a bit before you transplant it. You could go ahead and transplant, you just have to make sure the medium (rockwool) is always moist.

  3. when your leaves start yellowing that's usually a sign of a root(s) popping out. i would start with 1/4 strength nutes when you transplant.

  4. what ph should you use as well?

should i be different for clones?

Wait until you have a healthy amount of roots poking through the rockwool, in our buckets I use 6.1ph all the time, I follow the GH feeding schedule (Keep it simple recirc) all the way through. No Floralicious, we add 5ml/gal of Hygrozyme instead

  6. i have my clones in a bucket with air bubbles in the water i'm giving it a try........i added a heater from my fish tank to bring the water temperature up.

i hope it works with out the humidity tent.

  7. So i usually wait until I have at least two or three root ends sticking out of the rockwool. I typically dont even fertilizer clones because they are still young, so I use regular distilled watered until the clones have rooted and been in their new environment for about two weeks.
