Okay, my plant has been on 12/12 for a little of 2 weeks now and is starting to bud. The bottom leaves are dieing and turning yellow and brown. There isnt much light that gets to the bottom leaves, since I have all my cfls on the bud sites. Could I just clip some of them?
from what i understand, there are two schools of thought on pruning leaves. Some guides say not to prune your plants leaves as this is "butchering" a perfectly healthy plant. Most of the people that ive run into, and most guides that i have checked out say that in order to get the most bud off your plant, to prune off the leaves that are blocking light from the bud sites. I personally have trimmed off most of the large fan leaves from the under canopy, and my plant is VERY healthy.also, as budding progresses, the leaves will brown out to a certain degree.
